Manifest Anything: What the Monks & Life Have Taught Me

An attitude of gratitude is first before any undertaking. If you are complaining, you are not being grateful. If you are lamenting, you are not being grateful. If you are being envious, you are not being grateful. If you are being jealous, you are not being grateful. If your actions display a woe-is-me attitude, for example, being an alcoholic in the name of life is so hard and I’ve had a hard life, etc. (there are an infinitude of attitudes to choose from) you are not being grateful. If you are being an ingrate, you are not being grateful. You get the idea.

Step 0. Be grateful, thankful and express your acknowledgment of the plethora of bountiful blessings daily in not just your speech, but with your attitude, mind, heart and actions toward self and others.

Step 1. Actually understand what you think you understand. When I first began studying Buddhism, it was in part because everything said to me sounded like an epic riddle that amused and attracted me. The truth is nothing could be plainer.

Please be advised first and foremost, that it is commonly known that we do not manifest from the brain, from the mind alone. Since the brain naturally has a positive and a negative side and that also is the nature of thoughts, if our manifestation is successful, and I wish for everyone that it will be, then we are automatically attracting the equal negative side with it. Sounds daunting, but only if we don’t shift our perception. Most of us have no trouble with the concepts of yin and yang, up and down, dark and light, nor with the magnetic polarities of negative and positive. If we can conceptualize attracting negative in a similar schema, we’ll understand it as not something bad to be frightened of, but that it simply is.

This needs to be understood fully, since the majority of us in the Western world approach spirituality with a worldview of pure positivism. This is not wrong, but it is not yet the complete picture. It requires both positive and negative to create, and forcing positive thinking won’t work either. Furthermore, negative wants to be understood as nothing bad nor wrong. It is of equal value. If you fully and truly understand this, you can create from the mind. If you would like a more holistic approach, then please focus solely on your heart. Our heart is much more primal than our brain and thus it is purer and most importantly in unity. And this unity represents the universe, existence and creation. We in the Western world have been trained via our millieu, if you will, to experience and think from the heart unless and until it’s about business, then we are taught that all things are cognizant and are to be lacking emotive nuance. Which is an imbalance and not the best way to approach business. Nonetheless, most Westerners will have an easier time manifesting from the heart. Please consider learning more about manifesting from the heart, if it seems a good fit for you.

What is meant by manifesting from the heart? Good question, you are simply starting out by doing visualizations of what you wish to attract, while engaging your heart chakra in that visualization, through your breathing and with purposefully feeling from a heart-centered place.

I engage my coachees in both mind and heart techniques. Please also know that the heart contains a mind of its own, not a brain per se, but a mind that retains and stores knowledge, make judgments and decisions and is central to intellect in many ways that surpasses human brain function. If this confuses you, read more on the topic to get clear, as this is step 1, to understand what you think you understand. You can create the experiences you want, your mind has the energy to bring into existence what you want to manifest, and so does your heart.

Step 2. Clearing and unblocking of chakras, meridians and energy centers in the physical body and astral-body. If unfamiliar, Google to learn more.

Step 3. Accept and acknowledge that your thoughts and feelings are forms of energy that contain the core elements of your future experience.

Step 4. Vibrate higher. We hear this so much in the so-called “new age” community that it now has no concrete meaning and is a cliche, therefore it is important to define the activities that lead to a higher vibration energy, your actual MHz. We have a MHz daily, hour by hour, minute by minute; low mood and depression can cause us to vibrate at a frequency so low that it matches that of a dying, transition human whose body is preparing to release its spirit/soul.

Step 5. Learn to still your mind. Meditation is both easy and difficult. Once you master the meditative state, begin to introduce a specific word like “joy” or an image in which you have invested some meaning. Perhaps a check with a specific amount on it if monetary attraction is your focused goal for a time along with other hierarchy of needs’ items.

Step 6. Eliminate all forms of sabotage. There is self-sabotage done by the ego, you may wish to contact me to learn about what I reference as the Three Stooges of Limiting Beliefs that sabotage our outcomes and learn what the work is to do, to stop these mental models dead in their tracks. Clear resistance before you ever ask. Your asking means nothing and is rice cakes, all fluff and air, if you are asking from a place of deficit that can no more (believe) know than the most jaded and skeptic amongst us, nor receive as a bucket of water with a gaping hole in the bottom of it.

There is spiritual self-sabotage most often done by not listening to one’s intuition. Your intuition is not to be underestimated, it’s our spirit-speak that lives within us. You’ll want to listen to your spiritual guides, elders, and ancestors if you are knowingly in contact with them. On a more basic day-to-day level self-sabotage is primarily done by either bemoaning where we are spiritually instead of doing the work to arrive elsewhere or being envious of others’ spiritual talents and gifts or by choosing to have close proximity to energies who are low frequency. Low frequency individuals include energy vampires or those who you might describe as “shrouded in darkness.” I’ve heard people describe “dark and brooding” as sexy, nothing could be further from the truth.

This includes sexual activities with energies who are not a match for the high vibration you have or seek. It could also be as simple or complex as those you spend the most time with and what you individually or collectively spend your time doing. Consumption has many forms: what we eat; what we watch on television; what we listen to (family, friends, colleagues, talk radio, music, our own self-chatter;) what touch and who and what we come into contact with, etc. Be mindful and careful of your consumption.

As you may have begun seeing, the journey toward constant, consistent and timely manifestation is not achieved overnight. Most of us have not adequately dealt with the Three Stooges of Limiting Beliefs to move to the next steps. Frankly, many of us are vacillating between aspects of step 0, 1, 2 and 3 and perhaps have no awareness of the other steps. This means that we can manifest at times, but not in the ways that we most desire.

The remaining steps are:

Step 7. Balance

Step 8. Focus

Step 9. The Ask

Step 10. Belief Knowingness

Step 11. The Work: content, context, capacity, constancy, consistency and calm

Step 12. Receive
